I remember starting my first IV, what a rush! On the ward we put a saline lock in first, then plugged in the IV. Don’t know if that’s how you still do it now, that was a while ago. There’s nothing like the feeling of being in that vein!
I’m still waiting to start one on a patient in the hospital! I have 1 week left on orientation. This IV was on one of my really good, BRAVE friends ;). I’ll keep you posted!
